Our Popular Guide and Rod Raffle Tickets Are Now Available for Purchase

The Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum Association
(PFFMA) is again offering the very popular Guide
and Rod raffle tickets as part of its annual fundraiser.

Each raffle ticket is $10. The drawings will be held at
the PFFMA’s Fundraising Banquet on November 4,
2017 at the Comfort Suites in Carlisle, PA.

As in the past, the Guide Raffle offers the winning
individuals a day of fishing with some of
Pennsylvania’s most noted fly fishing guides. The
Rod Raffle gives individuals a chance of winning
bamboo and other rods made by some of the
industry’s most talented rod makers.

Regulations that govern small games of chance
activities for nonprofit organizations prohibit PFFMA
from accepting credit card payments over the internet
for the purchase of raffle tickets. If you are interested
in purchasing raffle tickets or receiving further
information on the guides and rod makers who are
generously supporting the Fly Fishing Museum by

2016 PFFMA Rod Raffle Grand Prize –Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum Heritage Rod

The Heritage Rod, built by South Central, PA’s Tom Smithwick is a 7’9”, 2 piece, 2 tip bamboo rod for a 5wt. line. This outfit includes an Orvis CFO III reel with fly line installed; it has a curly maple checkered handle and comes with a custom wood fly rod case, this rod is built in the heritage tradition, but made to fish.

1st Place - a custom 7’2”, 2 piece with an extra tip, for a 3/4 wt. line, this bamboo rod with bamboo ferrules is built by Italian rod builder Massimo Tirocchi

2nd Place - a custom 7’10”, 3 piece Fiberglass Fly Rod for a 5wt. line, built by the C. BARCLAY FLY ROD CO. of St. Louis Missouri .

3rd Place - a custom 7’2”, 3 piece Fiberglass Rod built by Bill Harms. Bill designs his rods to have the feel of cane, not to slow, not to fast, just right, the blank was made to Bill’s specifications by Mike McFarland.

4th Place –a Thomas and Thomas Trout Fly Rod of your choice, either Fiberglass or Graphite.

Guided / Hosted Trip Raffle

1st Place - Joe Humphreys will host a day for two anglers on the private waters of the Spruce Creek Rod and Gun Club in the State College, PA area. Trip includes breakfast and streamside lunch.

2nd Place - Lee Hartman “Upper Delaware River Guides” will guide two anglers on a two day float trip on the Upper Delaware River near Hancock NY, trip includes lodging and meals.

3rd Place – Past Orvis Guide of the Year, Tom Baltz of “Angling Adventures” will guide two anglers for a day on the Yellow Breeches Creek in Central PA

4th Place– Eric Richard of “Coveted Waters Guide Service” will guide two anglers on a one day float trip fly fishing for Bass on the Juniata River in Central PA.

5th Place - Brian Shumaker of “Susquehanna River Guides,” will guide two anglers on a one day float trip, fly fishing for Bass on the Susquehanna or Juniata, River in Central PA.

The guides involved in the 2016 guide raffle have donated the trips in support of the Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum, arrangements can be made with most guides to extend your fly fishing experience if you desire.

A Pennsylvania fishing license is required for all trips Dates and Time to be mutually agreed upon.

The Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum map was designed and produced by artist Alan Robinson “The Map Guy” and is available for sale. This is a great way to support the museum and have a nice limited edition print for your home, business or club. The maps are numbered and signed by the artist and are limited to 100 prints of each size. The images depicted on the map are of original water colors by Alan Robinson, even the ones of Vince’s Meadow and the Yellow Breeches at Allenberry Resorts. The highlighted streams are the Yellow Breeches, the Letort and Mountain Creek. This is your opportunity to own a great collector print, and support the Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Museum.
